Local Roll Off is a supporter of recycling and other forms of sustainable trash disposal. We always ask our local roll off dumpster rental partners to dispose of the waste properly at recycling centers and state-of-the-art trash sorting facilities, to the extent they are available in their locale.
Sadly, there are many communities in the USA that still don't have conveniently-located, technologically advanced recycling and sorting facilities that can dispose of mixed debris and construction waste.
There are two kinds of waste loads - "clean loads" and "mixed loads."
A clean load is a load of only one type of debris that doesn't need to be sorted through as part of its processing. Disposing of a clean load makes it much more likely that it will be recycled, since it doesn't require a labor-intensive process of sorting. Many types of construction materials and other debris are easily recyclable if they are kept separately from other kinds of trash - this includes many plastics, paper, asphalt and ceramic roof shingles, cardboard, scrap metal, wood, concrete, brick and asphalt.
A mixed load, on the other hand, is a quantity of trash where different types of construction debris or general waste are mixed together. This type of trash can be recycled if there is a sorting facility in your area, but since those are still comparably rare, it's best to avoid mixing your trash if at all possible, to keep your construction or demolition activities as environmentally-friendly as possible. You can inquire about these facilities either with your local government or local trash disposal specialists.
